Student Profile Community The student body consists of residents from the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. Approximately 75% of the freshman class comes from the parochial schools of the Archdiocese of Washington. School Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory school founded in 1951 and renewed in 1989. Accredited by the Middle States Association and the District of Columbia Department of Instruction. National Catholic Education Association member. Grades 9 through 12. Enrollment of over 600 students. Teacher-student ratio of 1:15. College Board Code Number 090010. Academic year consists of two semesters and a five-week summer session. Academic Program All Archbishop Carroll students take an intensive college preparatory program. Qualified students may be accepted in concurrent enrollment programs at several local universities. Archbishop Carroll’s full range of programs includes Advanced Placement and Honors classes for the most able students, and a challenging college preparatory curriculum for all others. Students who need extra help are enrolled in supplemental remedial programs. Students have access to an electronic classroom, and six computer labs, including for internet Labs instruction and research.
