ART DEPARTMENT Art Department Philosophy: The mission of Archbishop Carroll High School's visual arts program is to provide an opportunity for art education and to prepare talented and skilled individuals for further study in the field of visual arts at colleges, universities, and art schools. Goals: To provide facilities and opportunities for Carroll students to learn basic elements and principles of the visual language To allow all students to become familiar with the tools and materials for artistic production To provide a fundamental understanding of art history, past and present To emphasize to the student the joy of individual creativity, as well as the need to strive for high quality in one's work
