Financial Aid

For those students and parents who require assistance in meeting the financial requirements for attending Archbishop Carroll, there are several forms of aid available. The deadline for applying for Financial Aid is January 16th. The application process for each is described here.

ARCHDIOCESAN AID: These tuition assistance awards are based on the family income. The application forms are provided by the Archdiocese of Washington and may be obtained at the following locations:

1. Archbishop Carroll’s Admissions Office

2. All Catholic elementary schools

MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS: These scholarships are awarded to incoming freshman. Eligible applicants will be notified upon acceptance to the school. Eligibility factors include:

Academic Performance: Student must have at least a “B” or 3.0 grade point average overall to be considered.

Recommendation: All applicants must submit letters of recommendation from their principal, teacher and parish/church.

Community Service: Consideration will be given to activities, clubs, and organizations in which the student participates at school, church, etc.


MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS: These scholarships are awarded after acceptance. Awards are available for vocal and instrumental performance. Interested students should contact the Music Department to arrange for an interview and audition after being accepted to Archbishop Carroll. Applicants must provide a typed essay of no more than 200 words on “Why I want to study music.”
