Established in 1990, the Advancement Office raises funds for special projects, need and merit based scholarships, and to offset the deficit between what our families pay for tuition ($8,100 in 2007) and the actual cost of educating a student at Carroll ($11,703). This $3,600 per student gap – multiplied by our 650 students – means the Carroll community must raise a minimum of $2.3 million dollars this school year to simply balance our budget.
The need is real – and so are the students your gifts help. Our students understand that hard work and a Carroll education serves as their springboard to college. The fact that 98 percent of our seniors go on to college each year is the primary reason parents and families sacrifice to send their sons and daughters here. There isn’t another Catholic or private high school in the District of Columbia that serves a predominantly minority population and yields the success that our students enjoy.
There are several ways to help us continue our mission of educating young people and developing leaders who are rooted in Gospel values, including:

Such gifts often help offset estate taxes and can be made in a specific amount, as a percentage of the donor’s estate, or as a residual portion of the estate.
